Relax! Go veggie this Christmas - 17/12/2003

Press Release

Having turkey for Christmas is stressful and dangerous to your health, says the Food Standards Agency press release

Pressure of preparing and cooking the carcass, and the risk of giving yourself and your loved ones food poisoning, is enough to make anyone think twice about tucking into a turkey.

Relieve stress on yourself and our feathered friends by going veggie and opting out of the traditionally cruel Christmas fare this year.

The FSA need to show they know their (sage and) onions and truly stuff the turkey for good.

Eating alternative tasty Yuletide treats will not only reduce the demand for stressed and slaughtered poultry, but will also help you avoid the "turkey trots"!

Wishing you all a relaxed Christmas in good health,

VEGA
