Vets raise concerns about the easing of restrictions on pet travel
VEGA regards the travelling involved with pets requires so much veterinary attention and risks and should only be taken in very strenuous conditions. Keeping a pet without knowledge of its travelling conditions regarding travel sickness, the risks are unduly high and the pet should be left at home where it is familiar with the surroundings.
We must treat animals more kindly and attentively. Putting them, in a strange environment may be well but risks such as rabies and other afflictions are invisible and always present and unpleasant. Better to stay in the country and have the animals we choose to pet to frolic in home grown conditions, with fewer risks and readily dealt with by veterinary services.
